Craving a luscious dessert and don't feel like getting in a car to get it? Having a dinner party and need a dessert with a flourish?  You can get some of Miami's finest delivered. Here are 12 Best Desserts in Miami with delivery as well as takeout/pickup. I've enjoyed selections from all of them.
Always curious and intrigued about The Miami Bath Club in Miami Beach, having followed its progress and its reinvention, I was happy to receive a media invitation to dine at The Courtyard, the first of three food and beverage locations to open. It is here I was to eat what is one of my best dishes of 2021 and be served by Ivan, one of the best waiters I've had this year in Miami. Good news! I managed to get the chef to share the recipe for our favorite dish here.
I'm not usually a fan of prepared foods even if they're made fresh, but I just found a notable exception, So Heavenly. It's not surprising since the owner and chef comes from a family with roots in Egypt, Greece, Israel, Colombia, and Syria.  So you find everything from yucca arepas and brisket to lachmaghine (mini pizza with meat and tamarind) and  Moroccan spicy cigars with hummus dipping sauce. From the minute I walked in and smelled what was coming out of the kitchen and saw the glistening freshness of the salads, and house made soups with names like Kibbe Hamda and ajiaco I knew I was going to like So Heavenly.
It's a good idea to have some ideas up our sleeve of things to do in Miami when it rains, especially if we're planning on having out of town visitors. So next time during a downpour, try one of these activities  and see another side of the Magic City you or your guests haven’t seen before. Newest attraction is Superblue Miami, an immersive WOW art experience I had written about before that's now open.
Full disclosure, though I love vegetables, going to a vegetarian restaurant never appealed to me. At least not until I went to Diya, an Indian vegetarian restaurant with a modern take in South Beach. Seriously picky foodie friends and I enjoyed the food, and we’re now converts. The food is arguably the best Indian food in Miami, an explosion of exciting, unique flavors and instagramable presentations. Plus, the prices are surprisingly reasonable for Miami Beach. The owner, Manni Maharaj, has big plans to make this the trend setter in its category nationally, and that could very well happen.

Tired of the same old breakfast? Then head on over to Upper Buena Vista and El Turco ("The Turk") cafe and find a different, delicious Turkish breakfast they serve all day long. Vural Aydogan, the Turkish chef, has a pedigree of Milos and Zuma and comes from Bolu, known as "the city of chefs" in Turkey. The couple who own the place are all about quality ingredients. We really enjoyed it.
