Need to chase the summer doldrums? Here's the place for you -- a high energy, fun, four in one dining and entertainment venue with Chino-Latino cuisine. It's CH'I Miami, a new addition to Brickell City Centre. And what an addition, 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space with three full service bars, two DJ booths, multiple lounge and dining areas and a unique menu of Chino-Latino fare, Miami's first. On the day we went the crowd was loving it.
Looking for the best breakfasts in Miami? A super treat when you make breakfast at home?  In my forays around town, it seems that more people are eating a full breakfast out. I haven't seen any statistics on the topic, but it makes sense. Work hours are more flexible, breakfast is a relatively inexpensive meal, plus it's healthy. So here's the list of 14 top choices for a full breakfast,  ranging from diners and delis to cafes. Find 7 of the picks in Part 1 and the other 7 in Part 2. Plus, here's my latest find, the best ever roll for your breakfasts at home.
Chef Adrianne Calvo of the popular Redfish Grill has opened her latest, Forte Miami by Chef Adrianne located in Coral Gables at 45  Miracle Mile. Judging from recent dinner visits, her big fan club is already flocking there for her interpretation of Italian cuisine, paying homage to her Sicilian lineage. And hot off the press, a new happy hour!

Major kudos to one of my favorites (been there easily eight times which says it all), Tur Kitchen, for its Miami Spice menu. Incredible, I’d say, that at this time in the restaurant business a restaurant would not only meet its top pre COVID performance, but surpass it. And for a promotion involving reduced prices.  The Miami Spice menu for lunch showcases the high quality ingredients they use, the original recipes inspired by the Eastern Mediterranean, delicious taste, and artful presentations. Plus, it’s a casually elegant setting with attractive outdoor seating as well, and a well dressed crowd.
Rose themed Staycation, a fun all day celebration at Wynwood Brewery this Saturday, perfect day outing for summer at the Yellow Green Farmers Market, Miami Spice pick,  nightime Mexican party brunch (yes, you read right), and more,  all in Eating News for August, Part 1.
As always, Byblos went all out for Miami Spice again this year with a wonderful selection of top dishes from their Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, and good sized portions as well. They believe it’s a chance to introduce new clients to the restaurant by putting their best foot forward and it shows.  Byblos is named for the Lebanese city that was a crossroads of the Middle East and varied civilizations. So think Egypt, Turkey, Israel, Lebanon, Spain and Greece – its foods, wine and even teas. The cuisine is creative, with unique herbs and spices with names most of us never heard of, a truly different experience. And speaking about Miami Spice, check out the update to the post at the end of the review, with 30 more restaurant offerings since I wrote the original post.
This year it's a blockbuster Miami Spice 2021 Restaurant Months program, worthy of its 20 year celebration. More than 180 restaurants are participating from all over town from now through September. It's your chance to try some of the pricey restaurants for lunch and/or dinner for a lot less. Here's the full list of participants and the details. Also, I'll be doing a first person review of some of the top picks, so stay tuned and also indicated are which restaurants I've written up in the past.
