It’s wonderful to see top chefs opening restaurants with more different ethnic cuisines in Miami and doing it well, from the menu offerings and  exciting and very different taste sensations, to the décor and service. Such is the new French-Indonesian Wayan in Wynwood that’s the creation of dynamic husband and wife duo Cedric and Ochi Vongerichten. You might recognize the last name --- Cedric is the son of star chef Jean Georges. The couple brought the Wayan concept from downtown Manhattan where it opened in 2019. It’s currently one of the only Indonesian restaurants in the Michelin Guide in America.

Of course, there was the eye candy as in the models and celebs; then a chance to get made up, nails done, hair coiffed, portrait sketched, pickup exclusive fashion finds, get a personalized tote, shot with B-12 vitamin, all by professionals, and everything included in the ticket price. Plus there was my discovery of new products and services, what I call my “finds”, that relate to all of the above. I was invited as a media person, but the event is open to the public, so keep it in mind for next year.  No need, though, to wait until then to find out above some of these new products and services, so read up below.
