Food, beauty/wellness, men’s fashion, a great online store to get a customizable smartphone case (that’s cheap too) and more in “Finds” for May.

I’d like you to know my male readers (you’re 1/3 of all my readers), I’m always on the lookout for news of special interest to you. It hasn’t been easy. Happily, in time for Father’s Day, I found Le Club designed- in- Miami swimsuit line. Mr. W tried out the starfish pattern in the short length and gave it a big thumbs up. Besides the design and quality of the fabric, he especially liked the fit of the liner which the powers at Le Club said were a priority for them. There’s a mid and long length too and choice of flat panel or elastic wasteband .Several lines in fashion or tropical prints include one for father and son and another sustainable model that’s made from recycled plastic water bottles. Newest offering is a four way stretch athletic short and there are also rash guards. You can team up the suit with long sleeve linen shirts in pastel shades. Prices for swim trunks start at $48 for the boys suits and $67 for men’s. They’re sold online and at all Mandarin Oriental hotels and Runway on Lincoln Road. If you buy online and sign up, you can snag a 30% discount.

“The most interesting store in the world” is how SHOWFIELDS Miami, the newest addition to Lincoln Road describes itself. Without a doubt, interesting it is – and a thoughtful, fascinating curation of unconventional, innovative, and mission driven brands from around the world. Look at the exterior and you’d never believe what lies within in its over 14,000 square feet, two storey space. They are brands you’d otherwise only find online if you knew about them, representing women’s and men’s clothing and accessories,beauty/wellness, home décor, tech, entertainment and more.

Add to this food and beverage offerings and entertainment, and you get the picture. Think products like uncured bacon jam, golden turmeric wrapped cashews, comforters made from recycled bottles, meditation pillows with crystals, CBD products for pets. Then there are offbeat art inspired chairs made from a 3D printer, a drinking game, and a fashion line that’s all in black. You could spend hours looking at the products. Products also need to be mission driven in some way: minority owned, sustainable, or with a charity component. This is the second outpost; the first is in New York City. Showfields, 530 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach.

The high profile popup in SHOWFIELDS Miami is YesJuice, the latest venture of Julieanna Goddard, Miami based entrepreneur, media personality and lifestyle guru. Goddard, who goes by Yes Julz on social media came to this location to support her vision of creating a platform and space to foster values of health, community and entertainment. The marquis product is locally produced, cold pressed 12 ounce bottled juices curated by Goddard ($10 each).

Juices combine various fruits and vegetables, many with a ginger “kick”. So you’ll find Pay Attention for work and focus, You UP? To chill out and wind down and others. Light, health conscious snacks make up the food menu including avocado toast ($15), Mayan Hummus ($10) and Let’s Go!-zpacho ($9). She also brought in her favorite mission driven minority and female owned vendors so find jerk chicken and beef patties from Jamaican DJ King Patty, cookies from Indulge MIA and more. She plans a juice inspired streetwear capsule collection by After School Special (don’t you love that name!)
