Which Steakhouses in Miami to go to?  With more guests coming to town, holidays on the horizon and the cultural season about to explode, I've picked eleven of my favorite steakhouses in Miami and Miami Beach with different ambiances and price points. They range from glam and traditional clubby decor to casual . Plus, all have solid options for those who don't want meat. I've also listed others to consider, though they're not written up as I haven't been there. My reviews of the restaurants are highlighted in red. Coming up, Part 2, steakhouses in Miami Beach

I’m going to cut to the chase as they say.  Amal Miami is not just one of the best restaurants in Coconut Grove, I'd say it's the best and a destination in itself. We’re not talking about splashy decor (though for sure it’s casually elegant and attractive), but rather, wonderful food which is Lebanese with a contemporary take. Everything we had was delicious and artistically presented, plus there are over three dozen  Lebanese wines to make for a complete experience. The 180 seat Amal Miami has been open for a little over two months and the word is out. It’s not easy to get a reservation.
The Lazy Dayz of Summer may be here, but with that comes the annual Dine Out Lauderdale 2022 running from now through the month of September. Miami Spice 2022 is back from the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) , running from now to September 30.  This year, along with a full list of participants, I've featured picks of some of my favorite restaurants and their complete menus plus my experience at one of them. I'll also be doing a separate blogpost on my experiences at a few other favorites. More than 200 restaurants are participating, 35 recently opened or first timers. Enjoy prix fixe, three-course meals for $28 for lunch/brunch, and, new this year, the option of $45 or $60 for dinner, all per person.
Blueberry pancakes the size of a plate with lots of Amish butter and bacon at Reading Terminal in Philadelphia, lox and bagel at Barney Greengrass in New York, jamon serrano on a crusty roll at a bar in Spain, they all make for a delicious breakfast. But then, on another level are the breakfast buffets at top hotels – the lavish spreads with a highlight of cheeses and cold cuts at the Adlon in Berlin, all matter of herrings and other fishes at the Grand Hotel in Oslo,  Asian and European buffet at the Peninsula in Bangkok, and now there’s a new and very different edition to the list worthy of Fabulous Friday—breakfast at Maison Dedine, a five room Small Luxury Hotel of the World in Tunis, This make you hungry for breakfast in Miami? Read on until the end for my eariier two part series on where to go here.
Dirty French Steakhouse Miami is made for the Magic City, a fancy steakhouse experience with its high gloss, eye popping décor, buzzy ambiance, indulgent menu items and wine list, and service captains dressed in custom designed pink tuxedos. It’s a great place for a celebratory meal with its buzzy ambiance, combo of delicious steakhouse and French classic dishes, and tableside preparations with a flourish. Not surprising that a restaurant with this kind of personality comes from the Major Food Group known for Carbone, Sadelle’s and The Grill in New York City where we enjoyed an outstanding prime rib presented in a way that hearkened back to the Four Seasons restaurant in the 80’s.
One of the most inventive menus I’ve experienced lately is at Jattö, the newest restaurant of Miami chef Henry Hane, the force behind B Bistro + Bakery that also recently opened its second outpost in Coconut Grove. The creative blending of cuisines from Peru with influences from Colombia, Spain and Thailand makes for  dishes that are delicious and exciting but not precious, unlike any other. Teamed up with handsome presentations, and you have a winner.
