Vinya wine retailer and wine bar has a winning formula. And they think so too, as after Key Biscayne where they just opened, they're opening on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables and then Brickell in a high profile spot. You can go there and have a glass or two of reasonably priced wine from a large selection (or cocktail), delicious food, and pick up some wine or liquor from a collection of 2000 bottles along with gourmet food items to go. Plus, the ambiance is casually stylish, friendly, and inviting. And there's much more.
It's a good idea to have some ideas up our sleeve of things to do in Miami when it rains, especially if we're planning on having out of town visitors. So next time during a downpour, try one of these activities  and see another side of the Magic City you or your guests haven’t seen before. Newest attraction is Superblue Miami, an immersive WOW art experience I had written about before that's now open.
If you haven't been to destination Upper Buena Vista, go. And if you've been before, go back as there are a number of new boutiques and eateries worth the visit at this lifestyle destination that's definitely not your same old, same old shopping mall or area.  Picture this: lush vegetation and huge trees including an 80 year old banyan tree, their leafy canopies almost embracing the single story shops ressembling Japanese temples, thatched roof huts , and expansive windows that allow you to look into the fashion  finds inside. Then there are the complementary services – food,  cryotherapy, hair, nails and beauty bar,  and more. Here’s a rundown of Upper Buena Vista attractions with a short description of each.
To buy a Hermes Birkin bag you often have to wait many months or even years given the limited production and demand.  Here’s a company, Prive Porter, that in effect let’s you “skip the line” to own one and walk out with as many as you want. Now they have a shop in Brickell City Centre. Owners Michelle and Jeffrey source and deliver authentic Hermes bags and describe themselves as the largest and most reliable retailer of said bags in the world, plus they have fascinating anecdotes to tell along with the scoop on new colors for 2021 and the hottest models.
How’s this for a special gift idea? Personalize a jacket with memories of a relationship, an image of a favorite pet, or even a portrait. Or forget all that, and just get one of the cool jean jackets as art. For men and women, too.

Hands down some of the best gift items around can be found at museum shops worldwide. That has been the case for awhile but, with the dire need for funds with so many museums closed, they have stepped up their game in their shops, an important source of revenue. How about doing your holiday gift shopping or just pamper yourself and help museums. The perfect time, too, is this Sunday, November 29, more than 1,400 museum stores representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia, 23 countries, and five continents will offer inspired shopping at museums and cultural institutions during the fourth annual Museum Store Sunday. In South Florida I have some museum shop favorites and also, here's a list by the Huff Post of the top ten for online shopping in the USA.
Going out on a limb here, but I had the best burger ever shipped to me from Goldbelly. Good foodie friends, Mr. W who is a serious burger guy, and the New Yorker magazine agree. Now it's not one of these over the top burgers where everything is piled high and more is more. It's a "refined" burger from Raoul's in New York City. If you don't know about Goldbelly, you're seriously missing out on eating some of the best and most famous foods from restaurants, purveyors and eateries across the USA. Here's the scoop about the burger and my Goldbelly review.
The Citadel Miami is getting back in full swing with new eateries on tap, the rooftop bar recently launching a Beaker and Gray cocktail popup, and Pivot Mkt. with sustainable fashion, home and beauty products going strong. Plus, you can pick up a flower arrangement, orchids or succulents. Still to return, Nu Deco Ensemble, but hopefully that's not far away. If you haven't been there, it's well worth a trip to see this food, entertainment and shopping destination in Little River. Here's an update on what's happening in the eating front:
If you're a foodie, or just really appreciate fresh fruits and vegetables and enjoy the gourmet market experience, you must put a drive to The Boys Farmers Market on your "to do" list. There's nothing even close to it in Miami in terms of variety and quality of fruits and vegetables, price point,  as well as having a wide selection of other food items in one place. If you know Fairway Market in New York City, this is similar, but on a smaller, though not small scale. Plus, it's an experience being there, worth the drive to Delray Beach. So what in particular will you find?
