You're going to love the list of Things to Do in Miami we have for you this month -- and they start this week!!
It’s a big success in New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Its matzo crusted fried chicken was such a big hit, the owners spun off an eatery that’s all about the chicken. Blue Ribbon Sushi Miami in the Art Deco Plymouth Hotel is cool, comfortable, buzzy, attractive, and is the food ever delicious.
Dinner can be hard to plan, and when you live in a place with as many great restaurants as Miami, sometimes it’s easier to just go out. The one problem with that? The cost. Lucky for us here in South Florida, even Miami’s hottest restaurants have some pretty sweet dinner deals—every night of the work week—that foodies can’t resist. The next time you’re craving a good deal, check out the Miami dinner deals listed below. They’ve got you covered for dinner, Monday through Friday. And for a top deal with a fling once a month, here's the best dinner special in town at Milos which I wrote about earlier. Happy dining!
New Year and you’re not feeling flush, with money that is. Here’s a list of my favorite cheap eats in town. As I write in “About my blog”, quality doesn’t have to be pricey. These places have very good food, and you can eat lunch and/or dinner for around $20 a person exclusive of alcohol. None is a national restaurant chain, and all have seats to eat in. Love to hear your suggestions, too, for your favorite spots.
If you've never had the French pastry Galette des Rois, you're in for a sublime treat. The galette des rois, celebrating Epiphany, the day the Three Kings (les rois) visited the infant Jesus, is baked throughout January in France. And it's available by special order this month only in Miami from Semilla French Bistro and Wine Bar. Semilla's Executive Chef and Owner Frederic Joulin is not only a master in French cuisine, but also an applauded pastry chef. Born in Paris, his extensive pedigree includes helming the kitchen for French President Jacques Chirac and the three-Michelin-star Guy Savoy. He's offering the Galette to launch the reimagining of his South Beach restaurant into a French Bistro and Wine Bar along with a market for takeout, scheduled for January 28.
Fashion boutique finds, a fave new unisex beauty product, go to florist for low cost bouquets, jewelry repair, La Muse Cafe, and a not to be missed museum exhibit, all in Karens Kudos to start off the New Year right!
It’s arguably the best dinner deal in The Magic City. No surprise then that the restaurant was packed on a Monday night in the usually slow tourism period right after New Year. Word is getting out about the incredible six course dinner with wine pairing for $79 per person (plus tax and tip) at Estiatorio by Milos. As is always the case with Milos, everything was top quality and even though the restaurant was crowded, we and our friends felt as if the waiter only had eyes for us. Service was excellent. Plus, there was no din, so conversation was easy. And now why it was so good….
