Jewelry for Good isn’t what you think it is, just another benefit where a part of the expensive jewelry sales go to a not for profit. This unique and creative event entitled “Bring your Bling” is about  donating unwanted gold jewelry and sterling  silver jewelry and serving pieces that are melted down  with the proceeds from the refiner going to the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade and Leap for Ladies. A tax donation receipt is given for the full value of the precious metals. The event is free to attend, the third annual, on April 27 . Come join me.
Exciting edition of Things to Do in April with events and happenings, many free, for foodies, fashionistas, art and culture lovers and garden buffs. Enjoy!

Things in Miami are in full swing now (can't you tell from the traffic!), so I"m doing a two part series on Things to Do in March, 2025. Here's Part 1. In this post some of these kick off or happen this coming week!
Think over 30 artists doing very inventive art works using a simple palette in three shapes, and you can see them on display and even buy the works starting at $500 at the Lowe Art Museum’s signature fundraiser, Palette Project Evening of Art on March 1.  Lots more at this special evening in the museum's 75th anniversary year, read about it and check out a gallery of some of the palettes from last year to give you an idea of what's in store. Plus, happy to report that Mr. W is participating again this year..
Over 100 free events, not to be missed fashion display, wonderful exhibit at the Frost Art Museum, "Take Care with Peanuts" at the Miami Children's Museum, and a 100th anniversary concert honoring a Latin music legend, all in more Things to Do in Miami in February (something this week too!).
It's happening. Miami Worldcenter in downtown, and it makes for a delightful afternoon filled with world class public art you can self tour with the map I provided and description of the art works. While not everything is open yet, you can also spend the afternoon  doing some shopping at places that are new to Miami like the new Savage X Fenty, located at 851 NE 1st Avenue, Unit D-138, the brand’s first Miami location of the pop singer Rhianna’s lingerie and apparel brand. After, stop in for lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants that are also a "first" in Miami such as the Brasserie Laurel, located at 698 NE 1st Avenue. See below for a list of all the shops, restaurants, opening dates and other things to do in Miami Worldcenter. Valet parking is available for $12 for the first 3 hours.
