Category: Things to Do

Sunset Harbour Miami is unique. It is one of Miami Beach’s most popular, vibrant, and walkable neighborhoods. Located on the quieter bay side of South Beach, it trades the chaotic tourist energy of Ocean Drive for a chic, wellness-focused, local lifestyle. It packs a big concentration of things to do into a few blocks including wonderful fashion boutiques, the best consignment store in town, delicious eating spots and fun things to do. Here’s my guide to what to do:
If you’re craving time on the water—whether that means chasing a little adventure, unwinding in the breeze, or watching the sun dip into Biscayne Bay—we’ve rounded up some boat tours in Miami worth adding to your list. For a magical night on the water, a new sunset cruise on a 50 foot yacht is offered with catering by Seaspice and  the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station Full Moon Cruise offers a front‑row seat to a glowing moonrise and a chance to spot the Bay’s resident seabirds as daylight fades. Prefer fins over feathers? Captain Jimmy’s Tarpon Feeding Experience lets you get up close with the massive 300‑pound Silver Kings. And if your ideal outing comes with a jolt of adrenaline, Thriller Speedboat Tours will have you skimming across the water at 40 mph while appreciating Miami’s skyline from a whole new angle.
“Summertime and the Living is Easy,” sings Ella Fitzgerald.  What better time to slow down, take a moment and enjoy what Miami has to offer?  To give you an idea of the summer programs in Miami they include taking a class in jewelry and ceramic-making, adult education courses at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Miami, acting classes, flower arranging, or glassblowing and many more.  It’s the perfect time to go out on the water.  Do good and enjoy yourself at the same time - book a sunset boat trip with the Pelican Harbor Seabird Sunset Cruise and see the city of Miami at its best.   Combine that with dinner and it makes for a perfect evening out. The new Balloon Museum Miami comes to town plus food, fitness, music, art and major spectacles coming up this weekend and through the end of the month. Check them all out in Things to do in Miami in May 2026.
One of my favorite fashion events of the year is coming up, Miami Swim Week® – _The Shows 2026, the largest festival of its kind in the world for swim & resort fashion. It returns to Mondrian South Beach Miami from May 25–31, 2026 featuring over 50 global swim designers from the U.S., UK, Colombia, Bulgaria, Italy, Brazil, Australia and beyond. The 2026 edition will feature more than 20 events across 10 venues. Happenings include runway presentations, wellness and beauty activations, retail showrooms, industry panels and brand partnerships designed to advance the business and culture of swimwear. The ones highlighted here are  open to the public with registration required for some. Wondering where to have lunch or dinner on the Beach? At the end there's a link to my picks for the best Miami Beach restaurants.
