Editor’s Note December, 2018: Here’s an updated list of best lunch deals around town. Click here.

My last post on top lunch deals under $26 focused on the Brickell area. Now here are three not-to-be-missed  Miami Beach weekday lunch specials with one, Cecconi’s a major deal. In general, lunch is an ideal time to go to these and other top restaurants on the Beach as there are no crowds, so you can expect better service.

Il Mulino South Beach

I couldn’t believe the deal here, about half the price of what you’d pay at night. The three course lunch for $25 includes a wide selection of Antipasti, Entrees and Dolci and everything I tried below was excellent. Friends with me shared my opinion. Note that with Il Mulino South Beach and Milos the dishes mentioned are a selection of some of the options; there are others.

Ravioli ai Porcini – decadent champagne truffle cream sauce (examples of other choices: tuna carpaccio, Maryland lump crab cake, tomato salad)

Branzino – roasted with olive oil, garlic, capers, delicate and divine (others include lamb chops, Langostinos, chicken piccata)

Fresh berries with zabaglioni or cheesecake with berries

840 1st St. (T.305-372-1221)

Valet parking is $10

Note: Here’s my recent review of the other Il Mulino in Sunny Isles.

Estiatorio by Milos

If you want to go to Milos South Beach and stay within a moderate budget in season (they also offer a very good deal with Miami Spice), this is your time. $25 gets you a three course lunch with the top of the line quality at this outpost of the New York restaurant group specializing in seafood. Here too, it was difficult to choose from among terrific options. My menu, all standouts included:

Greek Mezze plate (others were grilled octopus, smoked cured salmon with bagel, tuna tartare)

Shrimp Saganaki with couscous, tomatoes and feta (also, bigeye tuna, Icelandic cod, sea bream, and their renowned lamb chops at a supplemental charge)

“The real Greek yogurt” with honey or seasonal fruit planner

730 1st St. (T.305-604-6800)

Valet parking is $10

Cecconi’s

This is hands down the best deal, one of the best lunch deals in town. My friends and I couldn’t believe it. The ambiance is what you’d expect of SoHo House – very Euro, attractive people, courtyard or lounge setting. The star is the $18 buffet with dishes including poached salmon, large shrimp cocktail, turkey, vegetables galore, wonderful thin, crusty lightly stuffed focaccia, cheeses, and more. Dessert is a la carte and an additional charge.

4385 Collins Avenue (T.786-507-7902)

Valet parking is $7 when validated.
