One Night Only Taste of Greece

You’re in for a serious treat as in “Aegean Secrets”, the recreation of a dinner on October 25 by Les Dames d’Escoffier South Florida Chapter, which was held in the spring at the culinary temple, the James Beard House in New York City. But you need to reserve ASAP as seats are limited!

If you think Greek cuisine is what you’ve had in Greek tavernas, think again. You will be served four sumptuous courses of dishes prepared from secret recipes passed down by Greek yias-yias from generation to generation.

The dinner will also be accompanied by Greek wines. You will experience unique, ancient flavors and aromas of the Aegean Islands and learn about the culture. The special menu was developed by “The First Lady of Greek Cuisine,” the Athens based celebrity chef Argiro Barbarigou.

Here’s the mouthwatering menu:

First course:

Meze Platter

-Spicy Red Pepper Spread with Caramelized Onions + Micro Herbs served on Crispy Pita Chips with e.v.o oil

-Grilled Octopus, Tzatziki Sauce + Fresh Mint Pesto

-Tomato Salad, Fresh Feta, Caper Berries + Kalamata Olives

Second Course:

Kakavia (Ancient Greek Fish Soup)

Third Course:

Braised Herbed Lamb Brousco slow cooked in Greek wine, Vegetable Fricasee served with traditional Orzo Pasta

Vegetarian option:

Vegetable Fricasee + White Beans served with traditional Orzo

Fourth Course:

Baklava Millefeuille (caramelized fully, thyme honey infused cream + walnuts)
