
Leading Haitian and Caribbean designer fashions, clothing and accessories, were on the runway in an inaugural luxury fashion gala titled “Echoe of Elegance” last week at The Village of Gulfstream Park. And what a show! Unlike a lot of shows this one featured lots of fashion for men as well as women, not to speak of the great people watching in the audience. Other highlights included an appearance by Miss Haiti, a popup of leather items by Phelicia Dell and a performance by renowned Haitian kompa band Klass. The event partnered with Fleur de Vie, a Haiti-based nonprofit supporting education, health, and sustainability initiatives impacting more than 1,000 students. Here’s a look at some of the fashions:
