What’s New at SOBEWFF 2018

South Florida’s tastiest weekend of the year, the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival, will be back on our sunny shores just next month! Like it does every year, from February 21st to February 25th, Miami and Fort Lauderdale will become a blank canvas for countless celebrity chef events, dinners, wine pairings, late-night parties, walkaround tastings, celebrity appearances and more.
Of course, with each new festival comes a slew of new events we all can get excited about. Read below to find out what’s new at the 17th edition of the festival this year, both at the O.G. location in South Beach and the third-annual CRAVE Greater Fort Lauderdale Series. Added bonus: All still have tickets available!

South Beach Wine & Food Festival

Barry’s Bootcamp and Breakfast hosted by Robert Irvine
When: Saturday, February 24th, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Where:
The Oasis at The Raleigh Hotel (1775 Collins Avenue)
What: TV star and Chef Robert Irvine, who is the author of Fit Fuel: A Chef’s Guide to Eating Well and Living Your Best Life and founder of Robert Irvine Foods, knows a thing or two about food and fitness. At this event, he’s teamed up with co-instructor Derek DeGrazio, partner and head trainer of Barry’s Bootcamp Miami, for a morning that includes a rigorous poolside workout, drinks and healthy breakfast bites from top South Florida restaurants. Tickets are priced at $50 per person.

Midnight Munchies hosted by Jean-Georges Vongerichten
When:
Saturday, February 24th, from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Where:
Española Way (the entrance is located at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Española Way)
What: If you haven’t heard of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten by now, you have some eating to do. Join this French-born, Michelin-star chef and NYC chef-turned-rapper Action Bronson for an outdoor evening of sweet-and-salty, ooey-gooey midnight snacks, handcrafted cocktails, and dancing under the stars. Tickets are priced at $95 per person.

Sweet-Moves: Late-Night Desserts & Dancing hosted by Bobby & Sophie Flay
When:
Saturday, February 24th, from 10:30 p.m. to Midnight
Where:
Loews Miami Beach Hotel (1601 Collins Avenue)
What: Make your late-night galavanting even sweeter with a dessert party by famous dad-and-daughter duo, Bobby and Sophie Flay! Wellness expert-turned-DJ, Hannah Bronfman, will keep the beats popping, while Bobby, Sofia, and 12+ South Florida restaurants put out a spread of their sweetest desserts for all to enjoy. Tickets are priced at $95 per person.

History of Jewish-American Cuisine hosted by Joan Nathan featuring Michelle Bernstein, Zak Stern, Michael Solomonov, Alon Shaya and Adeena Sussman
When:
Sunday, February 25th, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where:
The Jewish Museum of Florida (301 Washington Avenue)
What: Join TV star, cookbook author and chef, Joan Nathan, for a panel discussion about all things Jewish American history—including food. On the panel with her? Some of the most iconic names in Israeli cuisine, like: chefs Alon Shaya, Michael Solomonov, Michelle Bernstein, Adeena Sussman, and popular Wynwood baker, Zak Stern. During this discussion, each chef will give attendees a peek into their life in the kitchen, sharing bits of their own culinary journey and their experiences working with Jewish-American cuisine. When the chat is over, don’t leave too fast! There will be a spread of light bites for all to enjoy. Tickets are priced at $50 per person.

Family Ice Cream Social hosted by Duff Goldman
When:
Sunday, February 25th, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where:
Loews Miami Beach Hotel (1601 Collins Avenue)
What: Put a cherry on top of your family-friendly Sunday with a soirée that celebrates all things ice cream! Food Network’s own dessert guru, Duff Goldman, will play host, while more than a dozen South Florida restaurants will whip up some of their best frozen snacks and desserts. Tickets start at $25 per person.

Goya Foods’ Made in Miami: A Celebration of Latin Culture hosted by Giorgio Rapicavoli
When:
Sunday, February 25th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where:
The Biltmore Hotel (1200 Anastasia Avenue)
What: Miami boy Giorgio Rapicavoli first skyrocketed to fame when he won Chopped in ___.  Now, he invites you to eat, sip and dance the night away during a vibrant evening inspired by the Magic City’s Latin culture. Join this evening of food and fun for Latin bites and drinks by some of the city’s most popular local chefs. Tickets are priced at $105 per person.

CRAVE Greater Fort Lauderdale Series

BBQ Dinner hosted by Chris Lilly and Jorge Ramos
When: Wednesday, February 21st, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where:
Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach (551 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard)
What:
Kicking-off SOBEWFF, this toes-in-the-sand, family-style dinner will bring together World BBQ Champion Chris Lilly and the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach’s own Chef Jorge Ramos. Guests can expect great BBQ from Lilly himself, as well as gourmet comfort-food sides and desserts by Chef Ramos. Tickets for this event are priced at $200 per person.

Clambake hosted by Emeril Lagasse and Jorge Ramos
When:
Thursday, February 22nd, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where:
Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach (551 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard)
What:
Join famed chef, restaurateur, author, and television personality, Emeril Lagasse, for an oceanfront clambake with booth after booth of wines, cocktails, and bites from South Florida’s top seafood spots. While Lagasse might be the host, a range of top chefs will be part of the action—like the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach’s own Chef Jorge Ramos and Food Network dessert genius, Duff Goldman, the latter of whom will end the night with a poolside buffet of desserts. Tickets for this event are priced at $200 per person.

Rooftop Rosé Happy Hour hosted by Kristin Cavallari
When:
Saturday, February 24th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where:
W Fort Lauderdale Bungalow (401 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard)
What: During this haute rooftop happy hour, sip rosé and nosh on bites alongside Laguna Beach star and now cookbook author, Kristin Cavallari. Tickets for this event are priced at $75 per person.
