With prices increasing for dining out, I thought we could all use info on lunch specials so here are the updates on Parts 1 and 2. Here’s Part 1 on quality lunch specials around town. Plus, we’ve made additions, marked by “NEW”. Based on the quality/value, you may want to even consider having a celebratory lunch rather than dinner. As you’ll see, you can get a three course lunch at some of the top restaurants in town for the price of an entree at dinner (or even less)! Here’s Part 1, lunch deals in Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Aventura, Coconut Grove, and Coral Gables. And check out the new additions to Part 2 with Brickell area/downtown, Miami River, the Design District. Click here.

Ro Steakhouse NEW
Ro Steakhouse in Coral Gables stands out as a sophisticated, contemporary dining destination that blends traditional steakhouse excellence with unique flavors inspired by its owners’ Mexican roots. Led by former Prime 112 Head Chef Marcelo Palacios, the restaurant offers an expansive menu featuring 11 varieties of corn- and grass-fed steaks, including standout dishes like ribeye chicharron and a creatively designed corn mousse dessert which was one of my best desserts of the year. Unlike more boisterous local competitors, Ro provides a refined atmosphere with natural wood and stone decor, private dining options, and an impressive wine and spirit collection. The weekday $36 lunch special with starter, entree and side is a very good deal. For starters options include a wedge salad and their famous rib eye chicharron; entrees include a whole branzino in brown butter and skirt steak; and for sides don’t miss the creamed spinach. And as an add on opt for the corn mousse dessert.

Calista in Gables just started a lunch special. Have not tried it yet but saw the posting on their door yesterday
Thanks for the tip.
Karen, your Miami Curated is better and better and I love reading your news!
Congratulations!
Thank you so much. You have high standards so that means a lot coming from you!
Excellent suggestions! Thank you for doing the research!
Love these recommendations, perhaps a special report on the best Happy Hours? That would be fun to investigate 🙂
Thank you. Actually, I’ve done one on the best happy hours (42 of them). https://www.miamicurated.com/beverage/miami-happy-hours-brickell-happy-hours-coral-gables-.happy-hours/ I’ve continued to add to the list since when it was published, but actually probably time to update the list.
Hello,
I have enjoyed your blog. However last Monday’s post had problems. A friend and I decided to take advantage of the lunch at Pascal’s on Ponce during the week. No, they have not prix fixe lunch special. They were exceedingly nice about it; we enjoyed a much small lunch than we had anticipated. The chef told me that what you posted was 2 years old.
Also according to Bullagastrobar’s on-line menu, the lunch price is not quite near to the one you listed.
Hi Annette, We’re sorry that happened to you and thank you for letting us know. know that when we do the updates we check every listing, by going to the website, asking the public relations rep to check, or calling the restaurant directly. Or sometimes a combination of these things. It’s tough as one has to find the right person to ask, sometimes having to call back more than once. I think you’ll agree that restaurants need to keep their price sensitive information up to date online though I also understand that it can be difficult for owner operated small restaurants to do so. In any case, Jan who did the update, will soon be replying to your comment about these two cases.
So sorry to hear this Annette.
In the case of Pascal, my information came from the restaurant’s website. In any case, I just called and they said they don’t offer it so we’re deleting it from the list.
For Bullabar I got the info from their website and called them to verify and was told that the price was correct.
