Where to go for top lunch deals in Miami at quality places? We searched around all corners of Miami-Dade to find these well-priced options. Here’s Part 2, lunch specials in Miami Beach and Doral (Note: I didn’t include Milos as I’ve written about that earlier). For Brickell and Coral Gables, Part 1, click here.

Amare

Several of my favorite dishes of the year at one of my favorite restaurants are on the lunch special at this handsome spot on South Beach and it’s terrific value too. The three course special for $26 includes a choice of 5 appetizers ranging from shrimp and fagioli and their signature baked eggplant, zucchini, mozzarella and leaf basil to a selection of cheeses. Seven entrees feature the standout filet mignon carpaccio and Tuscan kale pesto, homemade sweet and spicy Italian sausage with broccoli rabe and other temptations. For dessert, expect the chef’s surprise.  For my review of Amare, click here. Amare, 1 Collins Avenue, T.786-598-8622.

Semilla French Bistro & Wine Bar

Located on Alton Road, this classic French bistro brings a touch of France to Miami Beach. The corner location includes al fresco patio seating, intimate interior tables with simple flowers and plenty of seating around their bar. The $23 special lunch menu includes choice of appetizer, entrée and an espresso to finish the meal. Classic French onion soup, one of three salads or homemade terrine of the day are the starter choices. Entrée selection includes beef carpaccio, fish of the day with mixed veggies, grilled steak with peppercorn sauce and fries or elbow pasta with ham and cheese known as coquillettes. Semilla, 1330 Alton Road, (T.305-674-6522). For my review of Semilla, site of a reader contest, click here.

Doraku Izakaya and Sushi

Japanese fare on South Beach’s Lincoln Road, a street that is seeing a resurgence thanks to the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District, can be had at this inviting spot. Sit at the sushi bar and watch the masters at work or opt for a cozy booth with Asian lantern lighting above. Choose from their Doraku Bento Box which includes a four-piece California roll, four-piece sashimi, edamame, steamed rice, miso soup and peeled orange. Add chicken teriyaki and it’s $13, for an additional $3 substitute steak or beef julienne or salmon. Izakaya selections are between $4 and $8 each and include between four and seven items each. Doraku, 1104, Lincoln Road, T.305-695-8383.-

Ichimi  Ramen Bar

Ramen is having a moment in Miami’s culinary scene and Ichimi in Midtown is a great place to get your fix.  (There’s also one in Coral Gables). Thanks especially to their specialty lunch menu that ranges from $13-$16 for a choice of three dumplings, salad and half a bowl of regular ramen. Choice includes a bowl or traditional pork or beef ramen, choice of one of four izakaya including the garden salad or crispy shrimp and three pieces of pork gyoza. Add on other dumpling choices for $1.50 each. Ichimi, 3252 N.E. 1st Avenue, T.786-522-3834.

La Fontana

Doral has become a dining destination in the last few years and La Fontana Ristorante has become one of those leading the way. At the classic Italian restaurant, they’re offering nine lunch specials that include a choice of soup or salad and a soft drink and range between $12.99 and $15.99. The menu features a classic mushroom risotto (only $12.99), a classic lasagna for $10.99, fettucini with Bolognese sauce also $10.99, grilled branzino for $14.99 and grilled skirt steak for $15.99. La Fontana, 10702 NW 74th Street, T.305-470-9614.

Bulla Gastrobar

Another great Doral spot, this one with a couple of lunch specials, Bulla is located in the lovely Downtown Doral area. The area mimics a small-town square with plenty of great eateries and bars. At Bulla choose from a two-course menu for $19 or three-courses for $24. Signature items on their prix fixe menus include their ham croquettes, huevos “Bulla,” fried garbanazos, their Bulla burger, cumin marinated grilled chicken skewers, bistro steak with sautéed onions and brioche de verduras. Dessert choices include coconut flan or crispy churros with chocolate sauce and dulce de leche for dipping. They’ve also got a Gables location with similar prix fixe lunch. Bulla Gastrobar, 5335 NW 87th Avenue C102, T.305-260-6543.
