Those of you early readers might recall a writeup on Musimelange a special experience that combines chamber music, gastronomy and a wine tasting all in the living room of an art gallery in the M building in Wynwood. Happily it’s back June 5! For you “newbies”,Musimelange was started by French violinist Ann Chicheportiche who wanted to recreate the tradition of the Belle Epoque where public figures, artists, writers and musicians were introduced to their friends in hopes of inspiring ideas and creativity. In every performance the musical group changes as does the restaurant providing the food.

Ann creates a customized chamber music concert for every soloist or ensemble with a “three act” food and wine experience. Act I wine tasting and hors d’oeuvre: Start the evening with a selection of  wines handpicked by Barton & Guestier & Veuve du Vernay paired with hors d’oeuvre crafted by their exclusive partner EverCook

(Act 2) the concert:  Enjoy an array of talented musicians from around the globe, spanning the ages from Baroque to cutting-edge 21st century tunes.  (Act 3) dessert:  The event culminates in a symphony of sumptuous desserts, crafted by EverCook, paired with a degustation of Billecart-Salmon 1818 Champagne. As you indulge in a farandole of desserts, you’ll have the chance to mingle with the artists. For tickets, click here. Tickets are $80; $85 at the door.

Saturday June 3 is Tropical Audubon Society’s  Go-Native Plant Sale at 5530 Sunset Drive, South Miami. Knowing what’s what with native plants makes it easy to nurture and shelter birds, bees and butterflies, and to create your own Bird-Friendly habitat at home. Select from hundreds of native plants — which can include slash pine, coontie, peperomia, bird and butterfly attractors, and more — and get cultivation tips from experts. Learn how to transform your yard, balcony or patio into a hospitable oasis for indigenous and migrating birds, other pollinators and area wildlife. Find inspiration in our pollinator gardens and our Pine Rockland and Tropical Hardwood Hammock demonstration forests.

Net proceeds help support our bird-friendly gardens and grounds.

Bonus Activities:
