Over the past year readers have asked me to recommend top private room restaurants Miami. I have taken your requests to heart and put together a list of some of Miami’s best dining experiences and their private dining options, just in time for holiday parties and family reunions. You’ll find everything from rooms for 10 to others for several hundred, and even buyouts of the entire restaurant, all at different price points. For those of you whose choice will be dictated by the kind of cuisine you’d like as well as the size of the room or restaurant, I’ve indicated cuisine type. Where I’ve written up a restaurant there’s a link except in the case of steakhouses which you can find in my recent blogposts with clicks at the end. Here is Part 1 in a two part series. Happy celebrating!

The lounge showcases its Brazilian mid-century modern furniture. A private room can accommodate 20 people and the buyout can accommodate 100 in the main restaurant.

All lovely venues, a few of which we’ve partied at/dined in, too!
Before you finalize Part TWO of your series I’d like to recommend Two Chefs’ private dining room and attached teaching kitchen. When we were publishing Wine News we sought a diff private rm/resto venue every year for our Holiday staff party, that is UNTIL we alighted at Two Chefs in Pinecrest one season and were subsequently asked unanimously by our BuyLine tasting panel to stick w/Two Chefs.
We all loved having our Champagne in the intimate teaching kitchen and nibbling hors d’oeuvres as they came out of the oven, then retiring to the private dining room for a lavish dinner for about 24 at a single grand table over which many memorable wines washed down many a marvelous meal.
These Wine News holiday dinners were authored by Chef Jan Jorgensen, who also welcomed my input without hesitation. Jan is a super-savvy, classically trained Danish-born chef with a very keen sense for making precision wine pairings.
The world’s winemakers next discovered him thru Wine News, and have since hosted countless media lunches there — strip shopping center be damned!
As for our publishing/editorial family, we continue to patronize Jan’s private venue with annual Wine News reunions. Santé!
