My favorite gift shop is Yeliz the Studio (formerly the Bazaar Project) for the refined taste, quality and originality of its offerings. The shop is the creation of Turkish designer Yeliz Titiz. There’s a wide range of selections, many artisanal and handmade, including beautiful select resort wear , jewelry for him and her and other accessories, baby gifts, decorative items for home decor and fragrances. At the top of the list are entertaining pieces, from dinnerware and glasses, to placemats and trays. Yeliz the Studio, 2990 McFarlane Rd, Miami, FL 33133

Tinky’s Gift Shop
The selection here is great and the prices are reasonable. Fight the urge to buy it all and slowly browse through silver frames, serving pieces, candles and diffusers of all kinds, and costume jewelry (including Van Clef look alike necklaces) that will turn heads. Popular are their leather handbags and wallets that look double the price. You’ll also find large and dramatic decorative pieces that blend elegance and tradition. If you want to spruce up you home with candelabras or vases that make a statement, this is the place for one stop shopping. Tinky’s Gift Shop,608 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne. @tinkysgiftshop

Isabel, Fine Home Accessories
Another of my “go to” gift shops in Miami is the beautifully curated selection at Isabel in South Miami. I always come away buying several items, some for gifts and others for yours truly. Find items you don’t find elsewhere like handsome bamboo serving bowls, cashmere slipovers ideal for travel,

handsome serving utensils, and even unusual greeting cards. In addition, she has a selection of jewelry, small leather goods, beach totes, candles and carryon bags that slim down to only 4” for easy storage Isabel Fine Home Accessories 7334 SW 57th Avenue, Miami 33143

I first came across their wares at Pinecrest Farmer’s Market and marveled at their stylish serving pieces, fanciful marine inspired tote bags and kitchen accessories and vowed to visit the shop. Here you can find everything with marine motfs – from shell jewelry and pillows to gauzy cotton tunics for over a bathing suit, shell mirrors, and kitchen linens. Especially attractive and terrific for hostess gifts are the cheese boards with silver starfish, shells and anchors , ceramic dip dishes shaped like shells with spreaders , and serving utensils. Enough about gifts for others, get yourself one of the straw clutch bags with ribbon and a silver crococdile, starfish or shell, lined in polka dot fabric. Nautica Design Gallery, 5900 SW 73rd Street, South Miami

Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM)
PAMM Shop
At this point, the Herzog & de Meuron-designed Pérez Art Museum Miami (or as we Miamians all know it, “the PAMM”) is a Magic City staple. Poised on Biscayne Bay—making up Museum Park, along with Frost Museum of Science—this modern and contemporary art museum is dedicated to international art of the 20th and 21st centuries. In addition to jazz nights, interactive exhibits, art lectures, the delicious Verde restaurant and more, visitors will find the PAMM Shop. Here, they can shop a unique selection of art books, children’s toys, highly original jewelry, decorative items for the home, furnishings and handmade items. The Pérez Art Museum Miami is located at 1103 Biscayne Boulevard.

The Wolfsonian Museum Shop and Coffee Bar
Rounding out my picks for gift shops in Miami is another museum shop. This art museum is home to nearly 180,000 objects from 1850–1950—like furniture, industrial-design objects, glass art, ceramics, metal, rare books, paintings, textiles, medals and more—from the height of the Industrial Revolution to the aftermath of World War II. In The Wolfsonian Museum Shop, visitors can browse through thoughtful, provocative and design-oriented gifts, from design journals, previously-banned books and innovative desktop, personal and travel accessories, to kitchenware and tabletop items, watches, jewelry, clocks, children’s gifts and more. Unlike most museums, this one also has it’s own line of merchandise related to the themes and periods of the exhibits currently on display. The Wolfsonian is located at 1001 Washington Avenue.
