Here’s Part 2 with 7 more places for breakfast in Miami, the best breakfasts in Miami in my book. For Part 1, click here.
Rosie’s
Rosie’s now has a permanent restaurant with its Southern comfort inspired selection of sweet and savory breakfast items. Try the shrimp and grits or the chicken and biscuits for a savory start to the morning; or opt for something sweeter such as the vanilla spiced waffles. For a combination of sweet and savory, Rosie’s has chicken & waffles, a Southern classic. Breakfast is served all day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday – Thursday. Rosie’s, 1951 NW Seventh Avenue, Miami 33136 (T. (305) 454-9065).
Roasters N’ Toasters
Roasters N’ Toasters bills itself as a New York deli and it definitely has that vibe. Their breakfast menu contains traditional deli items and twists on classic favorites. Stop in for cheese blintzes, bagel sandwiches or you can build your own omelette. For the non-traditionalists, try their deli spin on steak and eggs featuring thick cut brisket. Roasters N’ Toasters has two Miami locations in Miami Beach and South Miami, both open and serving breakfast every day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Roasters N’ Toasters; Miami Beach: 525 Arthur Godfrey Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33140 (T. 305-531-7691); South Miami: 6465 S Dixie Hwy, Miami, FL 33156 (T. 305-251-4848).
11th Street Diner
Sometimes, nothing can satisfy a hankering for breakfast food like the comfort of diner fare. This popular dining destination has been cooking American classics since 1992, using fresh ingredients. The menu has a large selection of breakfast items, served all day of course, including six waffle combinations such as waffle and wings, waffle and eggs, and a classic Belgian waffle, as well as multiple egg dishes, breakfast burritos, pancakes and more. The weekends offer nine different eggs benedict options as well. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. 11th Street Diner, 1065 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139 (T. 305-534-6373).
Front Porch Café
A restaurant with 30 years of experience, Front Porch Café, located in the Z hotel, serves breakfast all day. The inside has a stylish feel, with a giant chess board, shuffle board and billiards table to pass the time while waiting for your meal to arrive. The menu at Front Porch is one the largest of the restaurants on this list, with two full pages of pancakes, omelettes, scrambles, other egg dishes, pastries and a section for lighter breakfast options. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Front Porch Café, 1458 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33139 (T. 305-531-8300).
Tinta y Café
Tinta y Café is a Cuban café in Coral Gables with a menu featuring Cuban dishes, pastries and drinks. Their breakfast selection, though smaller than some of the others on this list, has the “musts”. Start off your morning with one of their coffees or teas such as the El Pecado, a creamy, sweet coffee drink with condensed milk, evaporated milk, whole milk and sugar. Their pastries and small dishes are a fine choice such as the guava and cheese pastelitos or ham and cheese croquetas, or opt for their breakfast sandwich, a morning take on the Cuban sandwich. Tinta y Café starts serving breakfast at 8 a.m. weekdays and weekends. Tinta y Café, 1315 Ponce de Leon Blvd. Coral Gables, Florida 33134 (T. 305-285-0101).
El Turco
If you’re looking for unique breakfast options, then head on over to El Turco in Upper Buena Vista. It’s a delicious Turkish café serving breakfast all day long, made from quality ingredients. Many of their dishes are vegetarian friendly, like the Turkish breakfast platter, a plate of steak tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, pickled ezine goat cheese, kasseri cheese, sele olives, green olives, homemade jams, pogaca and daily baked pita bread. Other dishes include my favorite, a simit sandwich – a circular Turkish bread. Get the one with cheese and Turkish sausage. Then there are the egg dishes, sweet and savory pastries, and of course, to top it all off, traditional Turkish coffee and tea. Note that only credit cards are accepted. It’s open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. El Turco, 5026 NE. 2nd Avenue, Unit 307, in Upper Buena Vista (T. 786-686-9797).

Bachour Bakery & Restaurant
In finishing up the list of best breakfasts in Miami, we couldn’t forget Bachour Bakery. Located in Coral Gables, Bachour is a combination restaurant, pastry shop and bakery offering a wide range of breakfast plates available morning, afternoon and evening. The everyday menu includes egg dishes such as benedicts, scrambles and sandwiches as well as other breakfast items like challah French toast. One can also order side dishes of breakfast meats, home fries, various kinds of eggs – from poached to fried to scrambled – and other morning favorites to accompany any meal on the menu. Their large selection of viennoiserie, or flaky breakfast pastries, includes buttery croissants and pain au chocolat, as well as pastries highlighting some of Miami’s favorite flavors such as dulce de leche and guava and cheese. Macarons, bonbons and other sweet treats are also available. Open Monday – Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant is walk-ins only and does not accept reservations. Bachour Bakery & Restaurant, 2020 Salzedo St, Miami, FL 33134 (T. 305-203-0552).

Best breakfast in the North Miami/ Aventura area is The Alchemist on Dixie Highway. It has a good selection and funky outdoors and indoors seating.
I go up there to go to Costco so I’ll check it out, thank you.
