Rings aren’t usually my thing – compared with earrings as you know. But I’m a convert thanks to Sergio Andres Mendoza, the creator of Pharaoun. They make a statement without being too much, and are reasonably priced especially considering the workmanship. Same with the cufflinks, earrings, lapel pins and charms.

Best yet, they look expensive and feel indulgent. He designs the jewelry (pendants, lapel pins, necklaces and charms as well) and has them made in his Istanbul workshop, tapping into their long history of fine workmanship.

Designs are often inspired by the ocean and marine life or mandalas. They’re crafted out of solid sterling silver with cubic zirconia stones and additionally plated in 22 karat yellow gold, 18 karat rose gold and black rhodium.

He created Pharaoun to honor the powerful women who shaped him, and each of his designs is inspired by the women in his life.

And how can women not like his mantra: “What I find is that in the chaos of every day, women forget themselves, their strength, their beauty, and their independence. I want my designs to inspire women to be their favorite version of themselves, and that starts with you honoring yourself.”

His shop is online and he also has a studio at home in Key Biscayne. Prices range from $250 to $795. He’s offering a special promotion now, choose any ring and get a second at 50% off. Pharaoun Cocktail Rings, Sergio@pharaoun.com, tel. (305)528-7111.
