Hi Karen, Do you have any suggestions for where to get great soup to go? I prefer healthy soups that don’t have cream. If not to go, places where they have great soups? Thank you!

That’s a tough one. I like Vietnamese pho and they do a good job at Phuc Yeah in MiMo and Basilic in Aventura. Josh’s Deli in Surfside has a good matzoh ball soup. Zak the Baker used to have very good soups but I looked online and didn’t see any listed.  Other than that, Whole Foods soups are decent. Colombian restaurants have ajiaco con pollo which is delicious but I can’t recommend any  places in particular. Guess Miami isn’t really a soup town. Probably have to go up north for that unless someone reading this has ideas.

I just remembered that I really like tabatchnik frozen soups sold at Publix. The lentil and split pea are delicious, nutritious and low cal. Plus you just microwave them.

I also just heard from a reliable source that the Golden Hog in Key Biscayne has wonderful soups.
