The opening of Sukoshi Miami at Aventura Mall, the first in Florida of this Korean beauty store, gave me a chance to learn more about this very hot new beauty category as I knew they’d have a knowledgeable manager. Sure enough, Artem Larionov, the manager, began to open up this amazing world with an introduction to the most popular brands and products, for face, skin and hair care as well as cosmetics. Plus, the shop, painted in sorbet shades of lime green and pink, also features his and hers Japanese products and would you believe, Chinese cosmetic brands. Think a machine that will do salon type facials at home, hair perfume, and “needle shot” cream that awakens the skin and prepares it for more products to come.

You could spend hours at Sukoshi Miami and only touch the surface of all of the options. My big question was if I bring in a skin care product I currently use can they recommend a Korean alternative since many of the products are not in English. The answer? Yes. The shop features the top 15 Korean beauty brands including Judydoll, Anua, VT Cosmetics, Pureto and Medicube. For skin, you can shop by several categories:

- Acne
- Hyperpigmentation
- Dehydration
- Pores
- Dullness
- Sensitivity & Redness
- Skin Barrier
- Fine Lines & Wrinkles
- Well-Aging
- Uneven Texture

Find sun care products, brushes, glue free eyelashes,7 categories of lip products. Interested in sheet face, pimple and feet masks? They have 70 different varieties. You’ll also find Korean perfumes and home fragrances.

There’s also a large selection of cosmetics, everything from Chinese lipstick and makeup palettes to foundation, eye makeup and much more. Besides all of that there are earrings, press on nails, smart phone beaded chains, and even dolls for the kids. And I’m sure I left out a lot.

I can’t wait to visit the beauty store carrying Chinese skincare. We have yellow skintones, not as white as Koreans amazing complexions. Good to know.
