The new 20,000 square foot Hurrem Hammam Miami is a combination luxurious and  authentic Turkish hammam and spa. For my taste, it’s arguably the best spa in Miami when considering the top quality of the facilities and décor and wide range of services. They call it “wellness & spa” and indeed it is. And better yet, you can spend the entire day for the price of a lunch at a fancy restaurant in Miami. Don’t want to pass up lunch? They have Topkapi Turkish restaurant as well.

Hurrem Hammam Miami is the work of a Turkish company that builds major wellness centers and clubs around the world. This is their first project here which they say is the first authentic hammam in the US. They know their business and it shows in the use of materials, the workmanship and the facilities themselves: fine marble floors and walls, different fine woods that are exquisitely turned in the sauna and steam baths, stylish and comfortable nooks to wait for your treatment,  and state of the art equipment. Just for example, unlike many of the steams and saunas I’ve found at spas, here they’re at the proper temperature to do their job Everything is perfectly calibrated.

Besides the steam and saunas at Hurrem Hammam Miami, there’s a Grand Hammam, Arctic  room, multiple showers including a cold one, hydromassage pool,  Himalayan salt room, tepid area, relaxation area,marble room for the ritual kese exfoliation treatments, massage room, spacious mens and women’s locker rooms, and area for beauty treatments.

We tried the half hour ritual kese, an all over exfoliation along with a foam bath they sometimes refer to as “cloud 9”. It was the best exfoliation I’ve ever had, to the extent that I really noticed the difference. The foam bath left my skin glowing. It was also super relaxing and rejuvenating ($125). Wellness treatments include couples spa packages, hammam journeys, a variety of massages (from $175 for 50 minutes) and wellness journeys.

There’s a wide menu of salon services at Hurrem Hammam Miami for nails, facials and skincare, eyebrows and eyelashes, waxing , haircuts for men and women, blow dry.

Next time I want to try the hair and scalp nourishing therapy, the Platza treatment with oak or birch leaves, and definitely plan to get another kese exfoliation and foam bath. Also on the “to do” list is to try the restaurant as Turkish food is a favorite as you probably know.

A day using all of the facilities is $85 per person Monday through Thursday and $ 100 per person on weekends. There are also memberships available for individuals and couples for three and six months.
