Always a not-to-be-missed event for fashion and hat spotting is The Annual Miami Beach Garden Club Spring Luncheon which never disappoints. Last month the tony Indian Creek Country Club dining room was awash with glorious flowers, an homage to Monet’s Garden, this year’s theme. Members and guests dressed in beautiful florals wore hats, most they had made, decorated with live plant material. Here are some of my favorite outfits and hats at the Miami Beach Garden Club Luncheon, And note if you’re interested in joining the Garden Club (no need to live on the Beach), look for an email at the end to get more information.

The hats were modeled and judged for awards including ‘Most Miami Garden, Most Elegant, Best Use of Material, etc.’. Note that many of them had fresh flowers. Also on tap was a fashion show by Akris, models wearing fashions from REMODEL by Nicole Shelley and guests wearing Etro. Great conversation and a terrific Raffle/Silent Auction all made it an afternoon to remember.

Note: If you’re interested in joining the Miami Beach Garden Club and want more information, write to info@miamibeachgardenclub.org. (no need to live on the Beach to join.
