You’re read about the best things to do in Naples and best restaurants in Part 1 (click here), so how about where to stay? The Inn on Fifth in Naples, FL. Here’s the scoop:

Our base was the Inn on Fifth & Club Level Suites, the perfect place to stay as it’s stylish, the location is hard to top, and this time of year rates are lower. Fifth refers to Fifth Avenue which is the main street in the center of town. Walk out the door of the hotel and you’re right in the middle of dozens of upscale boutiques, 40 restaurants, art galleries, cafes, and a multi-million dollar Sugden Community Theater next door. Want the beach? It’s nearby.

The AAA Four Diamond Inn encompasses two buildings. One was a former bank building. It’s very handsomely decorated, contemporary boutique hotel style with high ceilings, art glass strategically placed, and flattering lighting. I knew I was in the right place as soon as I stepped in the front door. The main building houses the bulk of its 114 guest rooms and suites, along with a tropical rooftop pool terrace and courtyard with outdoor bar, spa with a wide variety of treatments, and good sized 24 hour fitness center.

We stayed in one of the suites that opens onto the pool, for my taste, a best bet in the house. My friend likes people watching, so she was happy with her balconied room overlooking Fifth Avenue. The suites are attractive, well equipped with everything you can want, the bed super comfy, and the walk in shower had a bench, a feature I wish one would find in more hotels. They also replenished the water bottles daily with no charge (a pet peeve of mine is when luxury hotels charge you for the in room water bottles).Another valued service is on request the valet will provide transportation to the beach along with chairs and an umbrella or it’s a short walk.

The other part, across the street, are 32 Club Level suites ranging from 550 to 1160 square feet and loaded with amenities. Club level guests enjoy continental breakfast, snacks throughout the day, evening cocktails, appetizers, and desserts. And how could I forget the champagne that flows day and night. There’s also a rooftop area for Club members with a sundeck, whirlpool spa, lounge chairs and sofas. Want to stay in at night but are hungry for dinner? Order from Ocean Prime, the in hotel restaurant, and it will be delivered to your room, served by your private butler. But one of the features I like most is the free Escalade or Bentley shuttle service taking you wherever you want to go around downtown Naples.

Two of the better restaurants in town, Ocean Prime and Truluck’s are downstairs in the main Inn, but more about that in my post about Things to Do and Places to Eat.

Now, in off season rates start at $359 in the main building and $482 in the Club Area. Valet parking is complimentary.

I concur Karen great little gem . Also, One of my pet peeve’s is when a five star hotel is charged for water so that’s good to know that they don’t charge. I wish more hotels would think about a bench in the shower
