Rethinking your summer and fall plans because of high airfares? You may want to think about places that are a short flight away, ideal for getaways from Miami,  and still qualify as world class travel destinations. I asked Lea Lane,  a friend and travel industry colleague (writer) whom I've known and greatly admired for many years to come up with a list of places she would pick and their highlights. Heaven knows, she is in the know. She has traveled to more than 100 places and, in fact, wrote a book on the topic.
