April in Paris, dinner of Les Dames d’Escoffier South Florida chapter

 

Congratulations to the winner of the drawing for a gourmet dinner for two at Semilla French Bistro & Wine Bar. Thank you all for your interest and participation!¬† I returned there again last Friday for a dinner for culinary society Les Dames d’Escoffier South Florida. And the winner is….Marjorie Serralles-Russell. Marjorie and her guest will enjoy a three course dinner including Steak au Poivre flamed with Cognac and frites (french fries) prepared tableside. They’ll start the meal with a delicacy, escargots (snails) from Burgundy sauteed in parsley and garlic butter, and end on a high note with Floating Island, a dreamy confection of meringue floating on Creme Anglaise.

Sometime in May I plan to let you know about our next event, a trunk show with some fabulous statement earrings (costume jewelry). They’ll be the kind that will be sure to get admiring looks whenever you wear them.
