At 1 p.m., they’re hosting a 40-minute guided interactive experience on looking, discussing and sketching works of art in the galleries . The works focus on relationships throughout history and culture. Become a member that day and receive a free gift.

Bakers Cay

 

Baker’s Cay Resort, 97000 Overseas Hwy., Key Largo

Located on a former pineapple plantation in Key Largo and boasting a romantic private beach, this exclusive resort is set to begin bookings on Feb. 14. Their Valentine’s Day package at $970 for a two-night stay in their suite includes a dolphin experience at Dolphins Plus, private sunset boat tour with champagne toast. Then there’s a couples’ massage at the all -natural Green House, an Aveda exclusive salon and a tequila tasting for two at the hotel’s signature Dry Rocks restaurant and bar.

A definite splurge, the W South Beach is now a decade old and in honor of the anniversary is offering a romantic over the top escape for couples who stay in the 2,056 sq. ft. E-WOW Penthouse Suite on Valentine’s Day. The suite features four balconies, a rooftop terrace with plunge pool and piano, and fabulous views. Rates start at $22,000. The offer also includes a private rooftop dinner, in-suite mixology class to learn how to craft libation, and a Tiffany & Co crystal carafe engraved with the couple’s initials. And of course…. butler service.

 

La Centrale Food Hall at Brickell City Centre, 601 S. Miami Ave., Ste. 181-C, Miami,

Miami’s Italian food hub, La Centrale, is hosting Valentine’s Day celebrations for singles and couples alike at La Cucina, their cooking studio located on the third floor. On Feb. 13 they will host a pasta making class for singles with slots allotted for six people. The class is $55 per person. On February 14 the fun switches to a pasta making class for couples looking to celebrate with something more than the standard dinner, also priced at $55 per person. La Centrale’s wine shop has a choice selection, especially of Italian wines. (We bought a wonderful one from Puglia and another Montepulciano).

Or perhaps a night-in is more your style. In that case, try picking up an at-home pizza making kit for two at the first-floor Mercato. The kit, which includes fresh ingredients to make two margherita pizzas and a bottle of red wine is $44.99.

dbakers Sweet Studio, 3501 NE 2 Ave., Miami

Chocolate almost has to be a part of Valentine’s so at dbakers they’ve created a special edition Valentine’s Day gift box set. It features their newest pastry creations including a mini macaron sandwich, three mini cream puffs, four macarons, a cookie and a vanilla truffle cake. All those decadent items are just $32.

Aside from the desirable waterfront location along the historic Miami River, Zuma’s Truffle Valentine’s Day Omakase is an ideal choice for couples who want to enjoy a truffle feast. The specialty tasting menu features sliced seabass sashimi with yuzu, truffle and salmon roe, beef tataki with fresh shaved truffle,  and rock shrimp with truffle mayo. Then there’s grilled Chilean seabass with green chili and ginger dressing, 12-ounce ribeye with truffle sauce and fresh shaved black truffle. Topping it all off,  Zuma’s special chocolate truffle dessert. $149 per person.
