Combine serious people watching as in a “blue carpet” , food by David Grutman of Komodo, and Swan and Bar Bevy fame, entertainment by Snoop Dogg and Mark Ronson, and thoroughbred racing for the richest prize in North America, and you know it’s a special day in Miami. It’s the Pegasus World Cup Championship Series 2019 to be held January 26. If there was a doubt that this wasn’t an uber event, that’s dispelled when you know races as well as the celebrities and live entertainment will be aired on NBC.

All of this is taking place at Gulfstream Park where, if you haven’t been there, is well worth a visit in any case. And if you haven’t been there in awhile you won’t believe how comprehensive the park is with numerous restaurants, retail shops and entertainment offerings.

But back to the event. Last year’s event attracted the likes of Pharrell Williams, Lenny Kravitz, Oliva Culpo, Prince Royce, Ludacris, Wilmer Valderrama and more.  You get the picture. Everything takes place in the trackside club known as the Pegusus LIV Stretch Village – the race day entertainment, celebrities, VIP hospitality, eclectic programming and post race performances by Snoop Dogg and Mark Ronson, the award winning DJ & Producer who just won the Golden Glove for Best Original Song this month. The Village will feature a restaurant row offering bites by Komodo, Swan and Bar Bevy and other local eateries.
