And the Winners Are….Plus What’s Coming Up!

Congratulations to the lucky winners in MiamiCurated’s first drawing of 2018. Also in are your valuable suggestions that couldn’t come at a better time. To find out the improvements coming up for this year —  from new topics, design and more user friendly enhancements, to some of the other recommendations I’m taking to heart, read on.

First off, the most important – the winner of the four course dinner for two with wine pairing, a $360 value, at Pied a Terre (one of my favorite restaurants of 2017), is Betty L. Second place winner, Sydney Carpel, scored the $50 Amazon gift certificate. Enjoy! And given the great response and your comments about having more giveaways, look for more chances to win other prizes.

And now what’s coming up…..

Based on your feedback, going forward, look for an average of two blogposts each week, usually on Monday and Tuesday.

Loud and clear was your desire for more posts on new restaurants, eating news, and things to do. Things to do also  includes the categories of  cultural events, entertainment, and festivals. Related to this, you singled out your interest in reading more about gardens, farmers markets and art tours. Never fear, you’ll still continue to get information about other topics, from travel and karens kudos, to fashion, shopping and beauty.

Another strong wish many of you mentioned was to feature more reasonably priced restaurants, special deals for residents, and “mom and pop” restaurants. There  will also be a new focus on emerging neighborhoods (one in the works on Little River), wine bars, places to go for date nights, and more on the bar scene.

The majority of you didn’t know about Ask Karen. It’s a  service for you. Whenever you have any question about services, shops, restaurants etc. in Miami, just go to the top of the blog, click on Ask Karen. Follow the prompt, ask your question, and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours. I invite you to take advantage of this and tell your friends.

And last but certainly not least, your comments about the look and design are timely. I will be working with a digital marketing company on making changes to the blog including making it more mobile friendly, having more images for sure (I hope to include a feed from Instagram where there are more of my food images from restaurants), and a new logo.

For those of you who didn’t reply to the survey, anything else you’d like me to read about, see?
