With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, restaurants, resorts and spas across Miami are planning for an extra serving of romance. From specialty yacht cruises and special menus to a sexy overnight hotel package, here is Part 1 of Valentine’s Day Miami – Bests (with one in Fort Lauderdale too). .

 

Special Three-Course Menu at Komodo

How about a hot new Asian restaurant with a dramatic decor to match?  Komodo, the new Brickell eatery by LIV and Story impresario Dave Grutman, sets the stage for romance with a special three-course menu. Alas, no exotic Chinese aphrodisiacs but couples will have their choice of appetizer, including  Tuna & Toro Roll, Crispy Wasabi Shrimp, Spicy Beef Dumplings, Komodo Chicken Salad, or Hearts of Palm Salad. For the second course, opt for a choice of a decadent Chilean Seabass, Hong Kong Grilled Lobster, Grilled Szechuan Beef, or Wild Mushroom Noodle. Each entrée comes with Duck Fried Rice and Chinese Broccoli Gratin.  For dessert, patrons will enjoy a sweet Chef’s sampler of chocolate textures. A complimentary glass of Dom Perignon for each guest is included. The menu is $140 per person. The special three-course menu is available for dinner on Sunday, February 14, from 6 to 11 pm. Street parking is available.

 Three-Course Dinner at Lure Fishbar

A choice for fish lovers and others who want to keep a relatively low calorie count (note relatively) when toasting this day of romance. Lure Fishbar, Miami Beach’s award-winning seafood hot spot, is offering a prix fixe menu for $70 per person this Valentine’s Day. Couples can fall head over heels all over again while enjoying a dinner crafted by Executive Chef John Iatrellis. The menu includes the choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert with offerings such as Tuna Tataki with Micro Arugula, Crispy Shallots and Orange Ponzu; Seared Swordfish with Sautéed Broccoli Rabe, Fingerling Potatoes and Caper Gremolata; and Red Velvet Molten Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream and White Chocolate Ganache. Lure Fishbar is located in the historic St. Moritz Hotel building at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. The restaurant is open for dinner nightly starting at 6pm. Parking is $16.

 Agent Provocateur Package at W South Beach

W South Beach invites couples to spice things up this Valentine’s Day with their Agent Provocateur Package, a sexy “staycation” for us residents. The package includes a $200 gift card to Agent Provocateur in Bal Harbour Shops, a private fitting at the provocative lingerie store, transportation from W South Beach to the fitting and back, and 10% off on purchases at the shop. Also included in the package is a champagne and truffle in-room amenity.  Celebrate the V-Day anytime in February. The package is available throughout the month, based on a three-night minimum stay.  Brunch or Dinner Cruise with Windridge Yacht Charters

Spend Valentine’s Day on a yacht with a brunch or dinner cruise aboard Windridge Yacht Charters, based out of Fort Lauderdale. Offered on Sunday, February 14, couples can enjoy romantic fine dining alongside incredible views as they sail through the Intracoastal Waterway. The two-hour Valentine’s Day Brunch Cruise departs at 12:30pm and features buffet menu items ranging from Scottish smoked salmon and croissant fresh toast to fresh organic Florida field greens with gorgonzola & pear and roasted New York strip loin. The Valentine’s Day Dinner Cruise sails from 7:30pm – 10:00pm and features a three-course plated dinner menu highlighted by a Pan Seared Corvina with citrus aioli and Mediterranean tapenade and Braised Beef Short Ribs with sweet cherry merlot reduction entrée duo. Both cruises include a complimentary boarding cocktail for guests 21 and over. Optional bar packages are available. The Brunch cruise is $69.90 per adult and the Dinner Cruise is $99.90 per adult.

 $69 Prix Fixe Dinner at Baoli

This Valentine’s Day, dine under the stars in party spot Baoli Miami’s romantic al fresco garden featuring open skies, twinkling lights and lush greenery. Couples can explore a special $69 prix fixe menu of Asian fusion dishes that include exotic maki sushi rolls, robata-grilled dry-aged prime rib and specialty cocktails while listening to the soulful stylings of local Bossa Nova singer Jahzel Dotel. Outdoor seating is available on a first come, first serve basis. The restaurant’s indoor lounge also offers an appealing atmosphere with Neo-Baroque 30’s decor. Valet parking is on 20th street (Deco parking) and costs $15 with restaurant validation.

 Valentine’s Day Spa Special at Acqualina Resort & Spa

Perfect to ensure a little R&R for you and your sweetheart, the five-star Acqualina Spa by ESPA is offering a sensual Valentine’s treat for two. The “Love is in the Air” package includes a welcoming glass of champagne and two-hours of spa time that is tailored to a couple’s needs individually and shared together in the Spa’s Private Suite for two. Couples can choose from massages, facials, and other body treatments available on the spa treatment menu. The package costs $996 inclusive of the 20% service charge. The package is available throughout the month of February. Valet parking is complimentary with validation at the Spa.
