There’s no better way to start your morning (or in Miami, your workday afternoon) than with a good, strong cup o’ Joe. So if you’re looking for a hot new spot to get your caffeine fix, try one of our five favorite Miami coffee shops– curated here, just for you:
Puroast® Coffee (632 S. Miami Avenue): New to Miami (and the world), Puroast® Coffee brings the traditional coffee hacienda of the Venezuelan Andes to Miami’s Brickell Avenue. Previously only sold as a coffee brand in mass market retailers, this locale is the first of the brand’s physical “café” locations. Aside from its menu of Venezuelan breakfast pastries, flatbread sandwiches, light salads and more, this 1100-square-foot, South American coffee shop invites guests to enjoy coffee in its most delicious form: roasted, aromatic and made in the same way as those who understand it most – the original “local” coffee growers. The Puroast® Coffee café is open Monday through Saturday, from 7 AM – 7 PM.
Aroma Espresso Bar: With several branches around the city including Sunny Isles and South Beach, Aroma Espresso Bar brings a touch of Europe to Miami. Inspired by its partner, the Balestra family in Naples, Italy – who’ve gained a reputation for producing gourmet coffee for generations – this coffee hotspot has become known for its gourmet coffee drinks, homemade breads and pastries, made-to-order sandwiches and salads, and most importantly, its trendy vibes.
Pasion del Cielo: Another popular coffee chain, Pasion del Cielo, has become Miami’s more sophisticated alternative to Starbucks. Located in Coral Gables, Kendall, South Miami and Midtown, this shop serves gourmet brews and drinks made with patrons’ choice of beans from the world’s top coffee growers: like Guatemala, Colombia, Hawaii, Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Cuba, Peru, Honduras and Jamaica.
Nordstrom Ebar: A long day of designer shopping often requires a haute cup of coffee – and Nordstrom makes sure its patrons have just that. Giving shoppers a place to put down their bags, the department store’s cozy and casual coffee café, Ebar, offers a selection of handcrafted, barista-prepared coffee drinks, homemade smoothies, pastries, and grab-and-go sandwiches, salads and snacks made fresh each day. Nordstrom locations in Miami include Dadeland Mall, Aventura Mall and Village of Merrick Park.
Panther Coffee: With three locations in Wynwood, Sunset Harbor and Coconut Grove, Panther Coffee is where in-the-know Miami locals go to unwind, drink good coffee, and have deep conversations with friends. Inspired by its surrounding neighborhoods – all of which are laid-back, artsy and creative – this spot is known as much for its small-batch coffee bean roasts as it is for its inventive coffee drinks made with only the finest coffees in the world.
