Looking for a wonderful spot for lunch Miami that’s also a deal? Here are our eight favorites around town. Most aren’t cheap, but considering the stylish settings, service, quality of the food and you get three courses, they offer value for the money. Plus, you get a chance to try hot spots that are a lot pricier at night. Happy lunching!

La Mar by Gastón Acurio

Sitting right on Brickell Key, La Mar by Gastón Acurio has one of the best views of Miami. Get a quick lunch at this must-try Peruvian spot with La Mar’s 45-minute “Express Lunch.” For $25, get a three-course lunch that includes plates like Causa Nikkei with aji amarillo pepper causa and Arroz Norteno with shrimp and octopus. Follow it all up with dessert (Tres Leches, anyone?), and for $32, you can pair it all with a glass of red or white wine, too. Enjoy! La Mar by Gastón Acurio is located at 500 Brickell Key Drive. This deal is available Monday through Saturday, from Noon to 3:30 p.m. Hotel valet is available.

Chotto Matte

A newer addition to the Lincoln Road food scene, this avant-garde Nikkei concept from London is already a huge hit and it’s one of my (Karen’s) new favorites. Go during lunch, and along with the a la carte menu, you’ll have three “sets” to choose from. There’s the Vegetarian Bento Box with 10 different options, including spinach truffle salad, vegetable tempura, nasu miso, quinoa gunkan and asparagus avocado maki for $26.50. Then, for $30, the Chotto Bento Box comes with everything from Nikkei sashimi, shishito peppers den miso and Nikkei calamares, to chicken teriyaki, steamed broccoli huacatay and rice, dressed sushi, spicy salmon yellowtail rolls, miso soup and dessert. The $32 Chotto Sushi Set is the most expensive option, and includes a sushi selection, miso soup, a sake dragon roll, different salads, the chef’s choice of dessert, and four pieces of branzino, tuna, salmon and tamango. Chotto Matte is located at 1664 Lenox Avenue. Lunch is available everyday, from Noon to 3 p.m. Street and garage parking are available.

There’s a lot Zuma is known for, and one of them should be its weekday power lunch. This prix-fixe menu includes plates like Black Cod with yuzu miso, fresh sashimi, Salmon Teriyaki and more. As if that weren’t enough, those floor-to-ceiling views of yacht-filled Biscayne Bay come completely free of charge. Zuma is located at 270 Biscayne Boulevard Way. This deal is available Monday through Friday, from Noon to 3 p.m. Hotel valet is available.

Skorpios Miami (Now permanently closed as of January, 2019)

Skorpios Miami is a modern tavern, in Midtown Miami, that serves up an innovative Greek mezze menu inspired by traditional Aegean, Turkish, Greek and Mediterranean dishes. Go for lunch, and for $27, you can get one cold or hot meze plate (like roasted eggplant salad or hummus with oven-baked lamb!), and move on to your choice of chicken or lamb souvlaki or butterflied sea bream cipura for a main dish. When it’s time for dessert, round it out with a modern taste of the Mediterranean tradition: either homemade baklava or a yogurt-based foam with fresh berries and rose water. Skorpios Miami is located at 3252 NE 1st Avenue. This lunch deal is available Monday through Saturday, from Noon to 4 p.m. Street and garage parking are available.
