Here’s the second of five hot restaurant tickets in Miami from in-the-know concierges at some of the top hotels in town. Written by friend and colleague Irene Moore, it features the pick as well as how to get a table, best time to go, best night, best table and the crowd. This second tip is is from Giselle Mueller, Concierge, St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort.
What is the “Hot Ticket” restaurant that you recommend (other than one in your hotel)?
I highly recommend a French Restaurant, Bistro Bagatelle, at 21st St. and Collins Ave. It turns into a Lounge on Friday and Saturday nights with themes such as “Brazilian Carnavale” and “Miami Beach Sets Sail” inspired by “The Love Boat” series on TV. They also have a popular brunch, happening every Saturday and Sunday, featuring magnums of Champagne and table-top dancing. Everyone who goes to Bagatelle has a blast.
What is the best time to go? Thursday and Friday nights, go at 9:30pm. For Brunch, the action is in full swing at 3pm-4pm, so show up before that.
What is the best night to go? Friday and Saturday nights are the most fun.
What’s the crowd like? It’s a young, chic, trendy, South Beach crowd.
What is the best table, or other recommendation that you have? At Bagatelle, I recommend coming with a group of friends. You’ll have a great time!
(Writer’s Note: Bagatelle Miami Beach is part of a French International chain with the ambience of a popular Paris bistro, featuring classic French décor, lively music and a contemporary décor with bold artwork. Bistro Bagatelle started in New York City and since has expanded its locations to Los Angeles, New York, Miami, St. Tropez, Sao Paolo, Dubai, and St. Barth.)
