Every Fall Fashionably Conscious puts on an event that is a true win-win. Miami’s best dressed donate “gently used” articles of clothing, shoes, accessories, many from top designers (think Chanel, Prada, Gucci, YSL, Ferragamo and more), for men and women. Net proceeds of the sale, held over a three-day period, go to support Coconut Grove Cares at The Barnyard. That’s 100% of all sales.
The Barnyard offers free after-school and summer programming for kids in the West Grove area. It keeps kids off the streets, offers those after school snacks we all remember from way back when, tutoring, help with homework all kids need and provides a save haven. The kids are able to study music, art and writing too. And you get to buy fabulous items at the prices you hoped these articles would cost when you first saw them a few months ago.
Like I said, it is a win-win. But best of all, you are doing a wonderful thing for kids who really need your help.

Karen, thank you for including this event. I have a client on Palm Beach Island who owns a consignment fashion and vintage clothing store that carries luxury brands exclusively. She tells me that 50% of her business comes from the same privileged individuals who consign their clothing and objects with her.
No shame (even when you’re a UHNWI) in saving money. Even more compelling when it’s for a good cause.
