Miami Swim Week 2016 is the best fashion event here of the year and this year it promises to be better than ever with new pop ups that showcase numerous designers that would otherwise be off the radar screen. Here are some choice events open to the public from July 14 to 17. In some cases you need to reserve, so take note.
NOBE67 had its first Miami popup in the spring with much success (and yours truly bought a fabulous cape that friends were clamoring to know the designer), Now it’s back and will house over 20 independent designers along with established international brands such as Les Canebiers St. Tropez, Cris Berry Swim, Trilogia, Ross & Brown Eyewear, Other World Apparel, Retromarine, Bandit Swimwear, La Playa by Jeux de Vie, By Malka, EKAT Suits, Ibiza Passion and ELA Swimwear among others. Delano’s Orchard area, where the NOBE67 Swim Week pop-up will be held, is a landscaped lawn filled with quirky, Starck-designed “vignettes” – including an antique daybed and oversized chessboard – that lend the feeling of a surreal, beautiful stage and make it an unusual place to shop. A full service bar will be set up with wine, beer and spirits.
The Swim Week Pop-Up will be open Friday through Sunday, from 12pm to 8pm, and as part of its creative programming, NOBE67 will showcase the following events and activities designed to offer a complete Swim Week shopping experience:
Friday, July 15 – Opening Celebration
The Launch Party, hosted by tastemaker Daniela Botero, will take place from 5-8pm, while the Rose Bar will be the unofficial site for the NOBE67 after party. Guests can shop from their favorite designers and discover new ones from 12pm to 8pm.
Saturday, July 16 – Fashion Installation
The Fashion Installation and Cocktail event will begin at 5pm until 8pm, where models will be stationed throughout The Orchard showcasing various styles from luxury swimwear brand, Les Canebiers St. Tropez. All designers and styles will be available for purchase from at 12pm to 8pm.
Sunday, July 17 – Aloha! Sunset Party Swim Week Edition
The Hungry Post will host a Luau-themed barbecue by Chef Jason Bamford and Chef Ryan Nielsen at the Delano Beach Club from 5-10pm. The Caja China Luau Menu ($45 all you can eat per person) includes: whole roasted pig with condiments, charred pineapple salad, mango chutney, spring rolls, fresh local coconut water, quinoa salad, tostones, fruits and pineapple upside down cake. Select nationally renowned bloggers and influencers will be on site sporting various looks from NOBE67’s independent designers, while posting and mingling with guests. The NOBE67 team will be there starting at 12pm so guests can get their last minute buys prior to the 8pm closing time.
The NOBE67 Swim Week Pop-Up will be located at Delano South Beach’s Orchard space at 1685 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information visit www.nobe67.com or call (305) 582-7364.
On July 16th from noon to 5PM, Escape Miami Style Lounge will be up and running at the Sagamore Hotel Miami Beach with exclusive pop-ups and activities so guests can eat, drink, play games, swim and get complimentary pampering! The roster of new experiences Escape Miami will be providing include a perfume bar to create your own summer scent, a tanning room for a head-to-toe spray tan, a makeup touch-up room provided by Bloomingdales, and a glam room where guests can find a braid bar by Blo Bar, nail art by Arle Nails, hand massages and mini facials. Not to mention a Choker Bar by Purple Karma, an Angel Card reading by Nikki Novo, and personalized positive pieces by Zico Water’s calligraphy area! Shop fabulous summer looks by brands such as DBrie, Rochate, Luxe Isle, and even 2006 Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera‘s swimwear line, ZK Swimwear! Even though there’s so much to do, take a break at 3PM by grabbing a Peroni beer and snow cone and watching the pool-side fashion show. Note you need to RSVP: EscapeMiamiStyleLounge4.EventBrite.com.
