Looking for something different to bring pizzazz to a Saturday in summer that works rain or shine? This Saturday, July 20, the Four Seasons Miami has all the bases covered with celebrity yoga, a Thai cooking class with Executive Chef Aaron Brooks, and a pop up jewelry store. Pick as many happenings as you’d like, and maybe combine it with a session at the spa. Here’s the scoop:
For Yogis: Internationally-known Ashtanga yoga instructor Kino MacGregor will lead a poolside yoga class at 10 am in the hotel’s Palm Grove. Founder of the Miami Life Center, MacGregor is one of only a few people in the United States to receive certification to teach Ashtanga Yoga from its founder, the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, who is widely-acknowledged to be the greatest Ashtanga master of the current age. MacGregor is holding the class in conjunction with the launch of her new book, “The Power of Ashtanga Yoga: Developing a Practice That Will Bring You Strength, Flexibility, and Inner Peace” (June 2013). The cost is $25, which includes a signed copy of Kino’s new book and a day pool pass for Four Seasons Hotel Miami. For Foodies: Join Executive Chef Aaron Brooks and his culinary team for an interactive cooking class held in a pop-up location within the Four Seasons. Enjoy a welcome cocktail and wine and beer during class while the Chefs walk you through how to prepare an array of Thai-inspired items. Creating an intimate hands-on setting for Chef Brooks, the class has a maximum of 18 participants. The cooking class is $75 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Cost includes a welcome cocktail, wine and beer, a take-home gift bag, and, of course, plenty of food. For more information or tickets, call (305) 381-3037 or visit http://julyedgecookingclass.
