2017 has been quite a year—so here in Miami, it needs to go out with a bang. Whether you’re looking for a tasty sit-down dinner, brunch, a laidback party, somewhere where you can dress to impress, a concert, supper club or even a slumber party, Miami New Years Eve 2018 will be one you won’t forget. Here are nine picks at different price points for couples, families, solos and groups of friends.
A Nikki Beach New Year’s Eve, Dazzling Circus
Ring in 2018 with a dazzling circus! Head to Nikki Beach at 8 p.m., and dance and drink alongside acrobats, aerialists, percussionists and fire-eaters until 5 a.m. As a grand finale, there will be a grand pyrotechnic display at midnight—and of course, plenty of Champagne to last you all night long. You must be 21+ to attend. You can put a $20 deposit down for the night here, and pay the remaining $50 when you actually get the tickets. Tables start at $550 and can be purchased here. Slumber Party at The Diplomat Beach Resort
What better way to celebrate NYE than with an all-night extravaganza with your closest family and friends—slumber-party style?! For as little as $349 per night, you can grab a room at The Diplomat Beach Resort, one of the hottest oceanfront hotels of 2017, and dine, drink, spa, or play your way into 2018. How? Here are some ideas: Wake up on January 1st and enjoy breakfast in bed, welcome the new year with a relaxing massage and time in the Halotherapy salt steam room at the hotel spa, or make a reservation for one of its special NYE dinners. Diplomat Prime will offer a prix-fixe menu with wagyu filet mignon starting at $175 per person, special tasting menus and wine pairings will be available at Monkitail and Point Royal starting at $60 per person, and $30+ prix-fixe menus will be available at Bristol’s Burgers and Portico Beer & Wine Garden. The latter will also throw an all-white party from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the hotel bar will transform into an elegant NYE hotspot to ring in 2018 in style. NYE with Billy Joel
For the third year in a row, legendary singer Billy Joel will lead the countdown to Midnight with a concert at the BB&T Center. The BB&T Center is located at 1 Panther Parkway. Tickets start at $115 per person.
CityPlace Doral’s First-Ever NYE Celebration
Here, you can celebrate NYE with the whole family! Beginning at 8:30 p.m., the CityPlace Doral plaza will light up Doral with an amazing neon light show, a live performance by Tairon Aguilera and his Latin fusion band, and of course, the destination’s signature “dancing” fountain.” The restaurants will all be open for business—including Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar and Tapas, Cabo Flats, Brimstone Woodfire Grill, City Works Eatery & Pour House and more—many of which will be offering special NYE dinners so that you and your loved ones can wrap up 2017 with a delicious meal. ZUCCA, Dress to Impress
Get an Italian feast like no other with a New Year’s Eve dinner at Coral Gables’ stunner, ZUCCA. On Sunday, December 31st, diners can opt for a reduced a la carte menu from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., or indulge in a $300 prix-fixe menu that includes one bottle of Dom Perignon per couple, as well as live music by Luis Bofill and Guarachamos and DJ Nuny Love. The prix-fixe NYE dinner will run from 9 p.m. to Midnight. Then, come back on New Year’s Day, between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., for brunch and unlimited Moet & Chandon Champagne for just $75 per person. Festive Meals at Quinto La Huella and All Night Fete at Sugar — EAST, Miami
On New Year’s Eve, head to the hotel’s own Uruguayan restaurant, Quinto La Huella, for brunch or dinner! The brunch will run from Noon to 3 p.m., and will include endless rosé. For dinner, choose from two seatings: one at 6 p.m. and one at 9:30 p.m. Both the brunch and the New Year’s Day lunch are priced at $75 per adult, $35 per child age 4 – 12, and free for children age three and under. The first dinner seating is priced at $135+ per person, with a $95 optional wine pairing or bottle of Perrier Jouet Gran Brut, and $55+ glasses of Dom Perignon. Children age 4 – 12 can eat for half the price, and children age three and under eat for free. The second dinner seating is adults-only. It is priced at $225+ per person (and includes a bottle of house red or white wine for the table), with a $95 optional wine pairing or bottle of Perrier Jouet Gran Brut, and $55+ glasses of Dom Perignon. Just looking for a party? Starting at 8 p.m., the hotel’s glamorous, Asian-inspired rooftop bar, Sugar, will host an all-night fête, with a $100 cover, that includes beats by DJ Nii Tei and a complimentary glass of Champagne at Midnight. To help you recover from your inevitable hangover the next day, come back to Quinto La Huella, between Noon and 4 p.m., for a special New Year’s Day feast. Parties at The 1 Hotel South Beach
This year, head to the 1 Hotel South Beach, one of the most popular Collins Avenue hotels, and you’ll find two ways to ring in 2018. Looking for something the whole family can enjoy? From 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., The Atrium will host a gourmet reception dinner with Champagne, caviar, truffle stations and more, a late-night open bar and a performance by The Spam Allstars. For an adults-only option, head to Watr Rooftop and fuse your idyllic Miami Beach views with an open bar, an a la carte dinner, a midnight Champagne toast, and music by Brooklyn-based DJ duo Bedouin. The Atrium dinner is priced at $450 per person, $200 per person for the late-night open bar only, $325 per diner aged 13 – 20, and $100 per diner aged 6 – 12. Children five and under are free. Dinner and a Moulin Rouge Show at El Tucán Cabaret
Miami’s hottest Cuban cabaret club will transform into Moulin Rouge this New Year’s Eve, complete with a prix-fixe dinner, glamorous Parisian decor, stunning performances, and singer Cristian Lex. The first dinner seating and show will start at 7 p.m., and the second dinner seating and show will start at 10:15 p.m. Priced at $190 and $350 per person, respectively, diners can expect tasty dishes like Smoked Tataki Salad with nashi pear and a wafu dressing, Ginger Miso Murray Black Cod wrapped in houba leaves, a Black Truffle Hot Pot with shaved black winter truffle, and a Hangiri Golden Platter filled with desserts. A Night in France at Palme d’Or
There are few places in Miami more elegant than The Biltmore, and Palme d’Or is its French stunner. Ready to ring in 2018 with a French feast fit for a king? Here, you’ll get one specially prepared by Executive Chef Gregory Pugin. After your Kuschi Oyster and Mignonette Gelée amuse bouche, move on to a four-course meal, cocktails, and dessert with haute dishes like linguini pasta with black truffle, seared branzino with bacon and balsamic sauce, A5+ Japanese Kobe Beef Tenderloin, Brie de Meaux with dry fruits and mascarpone, and Veuve Cliquot Rosé with a raspberry sorbet.
