The big foodie news in Miami these days isn’t so much about international star chefs coming to town, but rather, the new reasonably priced chef owner-operated restaurants that offer solid quality cooking and good service all over the city. Downtown these days seems to be the place for a number of these new entrants, probably because of the lower rents. Plus, with all of the new residential buildings between Brickell and Edgewater on the horizon, there are going to be a lot of new hungry diners in the area, i.e. good business. One of these new eateries, Fooq’s, was my recent dining destination thanks to a reader’s tip, and a real find.
